Zavieh is fortunate to host Dr. Parviz Sahabi’s classes on Mathnawi. Mathnawi (also in some documents spelled as Mathnavi or Masnavi) or Mathnawi Ma’navi (The Spiritual Couplets) is the best known book of Rumi, an extraordinary poet and mystic of the thirteenth century. In 6 books of poetry, Rumi has committed to paper his thoughts, teachings, in short, his wisdom, for the benefit of his disciples and all future seekers of the path to perfection. Masked within engaging stories, Rumi’s lessons on human issues and their solutions are highly symbolic and in need of an expert teacher to decipher them to a more comprehensible format.
